I picked up an item that will be the inspiration for the interior decoration of my new bedroom. It includes my favorite elements: B&W, patterns, and subtle bright color. It is a great way to start working on my bedroom. I will use some of my favorite items I've collected thru the years and add new ones. I need a grown up bedroom now, I mean even my good friend David said "Aww my Priscilla is growing up!" I could start with a more simple adult room, because we both know I'm going to take a bit longer dealing with the real life issues.

I took the photos of the journals, I feel pretty proud of myself. Maybe this summer I'll be able to use this mini camera the proper way. It has been kicked, dropped and probably even thrown at someone at times in SF/SJ/BKFD.

In January 2006 I moved to San Jose. Mia Doi Todd's Manzanita album was on repeat that winter. It rained for a month straight, and I had just experienced love and had left it all. Love that was real and new. I again took this out today. Winter why do you make me feel this way?

It got warmer again that year and a new love had emerged that is when La Ninja: Love and Other Dreams of Manzanita was on repeat. I love going thru older favorite music and falling in love with it again.

A while back a friend and I would past time was watching videos and listening to music.

OK, nothing has changed with me.

But one night we watched Diplo's Florida DVD.

LOL I still crack up about the whales and tightening the screw. anyways.

Later I found out it was made by a guy by the name of System D-128 also known as Duey Due who works close with Mad Decent, hence connection to Diplo.

I instantly knew why i liked it, cut and paste.

Just my style and taste.

So a span of a few years I hear his name again.

He produced a video for Turbo Sonidero Futuristico - "Donador de Organo" from San Jose.

Now two of my favorite things are brought together again trippy video and good music.

Each photograph includes the location in Mexico where they are from and aproximately how much money they send back home. I appreciate these photographs because I know many people friends, family, and neighbors that do the same thing. I always respected them for what they do and only inspire me to appreciate the life that I have. Including my parents, I appreciate everything they've done not only for themselves but for there families and children. I think this project is great. Its good to see photography have a political stand and show that the majority of immigrants are only looking to better there life, like everyone else. Human nature to find happiness no??!
